Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
INVALID_CLIENT or authorization fails | Confirm that Client ID and Client Secret came from the same Spotify app. |
| Redirect URI mismatch | Add the exact URI shown in the Ulanzi settings panel to Spotify Developer Dashboard. Since 2.0.5 the default is http://127.0.0.1:30931/oauth2callback. |
| Official Ulanzi Spotify plugin stops working | Update to 2.0.5 or newer, which moved to port 30931 so both plugins can run side by side. |
| Playback actions do nothing | Open Spotify on a device and start playback once, then try again. |
| Device list is empty | Make sure Spotify desktop, mobile or web player is open and online. |
| Volume or playback control fails | Confirm that the account has Spotify Premium. |
| Account keeps failing | Disconnect it, rotate the Client Secret and connect again. |
Toggle Track Like does not change the song | Update to 2.0.4 or newer, which supports the library API used by Spotify apps in Development Mode. |
| Buttons stop updating for a while | Spotify may be rate limiting requests. The plugin waits for the time Spotify asks (Retry-After) and then resumes. |
Play/Pause keeps old artwork while paused | Update to 2.0.3 or newer. |
| Encoder rotation ignored on D200X | Update to 2.0.1 or newer. |
| Custom button icon reset after restart | Update to 2.0.2 or newer. |
| Settings panel says the plugin server is not ready | Close and reopen the settings panel. |
| Settings panel asks you to reconnect | The refresh token expired or was revoked. Click Connect again for that account. |
