Resolve Discord Enhanced connection and RPC failures.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
invalid_client | Confirm that Client ID and Client Secret belong to the same Discord application. |
| RPC access denied | The application must be approved for RPC, or the current account must be listed as a tester. |
| Redirect URI mismatch | Add exactly http://localhost:30910 in OAuth2. |
| Discord is not running | Fully restart Discord Desktop and try again. |
| Camera or screen share fails | These actions use private RPC commands that may vary by Discord client version. |
| Soundboard fails | Restart Discord and refresh the sound list. Soundboard RPC is not part of the stable public RPC surface. |
Toggle Video or Toggle Screen Share does nothing | Join a voice channel first. |
Server Stats shows 0 with RPC Online | Discord deprecated that count. Switch the metric to Voice Users. |
User Voice Control does nothing | Check the user ID, and make sure that user is in your current voice channel. |
| Encoder rotation ignored on D200X | Update to 0.1.3 or newer. |
| Custom button icon reset after restart | Update to 0.1.4 or newer. |
| Discord keeps asking for permission | Another Discord instance is open with a different account. Update to 0.1.5 or newer, which only reconnects to the authorized account. |
| Plugin stopped reconnecting to Discord | The authorization prompt was denied or cancelled. Click Connect in the settings panel and approve the prompt. |
| Plugin connects to the wrong Discord account | Use Disconnect, open the correct account in Discord Desktop and click Connect again. |
| Diagnostic log file is very large | Update to 0.1.5 or newer. The log is capped at 5 MB with two rotated backups, and oversized old logs are removed. |
| Settings panel says the plugin server is not ready | Close and reopen the settings panel. If it persists, restart the Ulanzi software. |
The settings panel also shows a diagnostic log that helps when opening an issue in the repository. Remove the Client Secret before sharing any log or screenshot.
